“Incomparable God”

Who is my God, to what can I compare?
No words can fully describe.
From man He does not hide
His love all people to share.

From the smallest, gentle flower,
To the wild, untamable sea,
He declares Himself through nature.
Just open your eyes, you must see.

He is gentle to the broken,
But fierce to the proud self-righteous.
He condemned with passion the Pharisees
And those who seemed to be pious.

But He never turns away
One sinner who repents.
He took our sins upon himself.
He is our only defense.

I am so unworthy Lord
To have a relationship with You.
I trip and fall so often.
I am nothing compared to You.

How can one be perfect
And love imperfect things?
He came from heaven to redeem us.
And for that I’ll gladly sing.

I am forever thankful Lord
For setting me free forever.
I will tell to others Your story
To my enemies, my neighbors, whomever.

Who is my God? To what can I compare?
No words can fully describe.
From man we cannot hide.
His love to all peoples we must share.
